Degree Programs
The Department of Process Engineering offers students higher education at all three levels—bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral—in both full-time and part-time formats.
Bachelor’s Degree Program
Renewable Energy Sources
During their studies, graduates of this program are prepared to pursue careers focused on the analysis of processes that take place in process engineering across various areas of industrial and food production. They are capable of operating process engineering systems, controlling them, and managing production within them. Graduates have a wide range of career opportunities, for example in industrial sectors involving process engineering management, wastewater treatment plants, landfill management, process engineering development, capital construction projects, and as specialists in environmental protection and monitoring.
Engineering Program
Renewable Energy Sources
During their studies, graduates of this program are prepared to hold leadership and management positions in companies focused on the design, optimization, and implementation of renewable energy sources. Graduates are familiar with renewable energy systems and know how to design and plan them, including their implementation. Based on their broad knowledge of individual processes and their interrelationships, they can also participate in research projects in the field of the implementation of renewable energy combinations with a high degree of creativity and independence. They possess knowledge of modeling and mathematical description, and are familiar with measurement methods.
Doctoral Program
Process Engineering
Graduates of the doctoral program in Process Engineering are prepared during their studies for careers as development and researchers in the field of process engineering, specialists in this field, in senior management positions, and in the management of companies dealing with issues in process engineering. Graduates are proficient in methods research and development of new processes and technologies. They are able to rigorously evaluate and compare information obtained from professional literature and their own experiments. They are capable of planning experiments and mastering measurement and evaluation techniques for complex experiments.
They are able to generalize the knowledge they have acquired and formulate it in an appropriate form. They use state-of-the-art laboratory equipment for their own research and development and disseminate the results of their solutions. They precisely formulate scientific problems and collaborate with specialists in electronics, physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, and energy to solve aspects of their research problems. They evaluate the legal, environmental, and safety aspects of production, the production processes under investigation (or under development), products, technologies, and the process technology used.
